Kenya courts foreign investors with new brand campaign

Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, has officially launched ‘Make it Kenya’, an international brand campaign to promote investment in the country.
According to media reports, the campaign launch is part of a larger Kenyan effort to drive interest among global investors. ‘Make It Kenya’ also informs investors, and prospective investors, of the latest information regarding the country’s economic performance, sector-specific investment opportunities, and available government incentives and support.
Global financial news agency, CPI Financial, reported that as part of the campaign the country would continue to implement a series of measures to enhance the ease and cost of doing business, with the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) taking significant steps in building positive investor sentiment.
To facilitate growing global investor interest, KenInvest is set to open a one-stop-shop investor centre later this year in Nairobi.
