PETER SCHOLTEN, vice president Europe and Africa, has been appointed managing director of the newly formed Kencargo Airlines International, a joint sales and services organisation aimed at offering professional cargo services into Africa.
The three airlines, Kenya Airways, KLM Cargo and Martinair Cargo will integrally link intercontinental flights to a daily intra African capacity, using Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi as a hub.
The Nairobi head office is now operational, with Kencargo offices to be opened in Johannesburg, Lagos, Dubai and London in May.
