Katlego sets up truck lease operation

The growth of its transport division has created a lucrative new niche for Katlego Global Logistics – a specialised truck lease operation branded Katlego Fleet Management. “With our growing vehicle fleet we can now lease vehicles on a weekly or monthly basis, with a driver, to our own clients as well as anyone else in the industry,” says MD Moses Maboi. “We have credit card facilities and offer preferential rates which make it a very attractive proposition, particularly for new freight companies.” And that’s part of the motivation behind the service. Maboi recalls the difficulties he faced as a new operator in the market and believes the industry can only grow if all operators work together. “SMMEs often don’t have the facilities and it takes time for them to build their resources. “We have managed through hard work and pain and we want to help others in the same situation. “We are very flexible and believe that the service we offer is unique in the industry.”
