Katlego doubles fleet to cope with distribution demand

Transport and distribution is becoming a key focus for Katlego Global Logistics, with major expansion of its fleet and driver complement planned over the next five months. “We have been approached by three companies to take over their distribution so that they can focus on their core business,” says MD Moses Maboi, “and this is a growing trend. “Over the next five months we will add 30 vehicles to our fleet – bringing it to 68 – and will employ another 40 drivers and assistants.” According to Maboi transport and distribution will make up 30% of the company’s business once the fleet expansion is complete. And Maboi, whose energies have been largely focused on re-engineering the company, intends concentrating on the sales and marketing function in future. “I’m looking to employ a suitable managing director to free up my time,” he told FTW.
