A journey in three stages

An intriguing project cargo was recently shipped from Durban “to the back of beyond” by Impson Freight, according to director Keith Blond. The abnormal load was electrical transformer equipment bound from SA to the tiny seaport of Mwanza, on the Tanzanian shore of Lake Victoria. It was transported by sea to the Kenyan port of Mombasa; then by truck to the Kenyan lakeside port of Kisumu; and finally on this ferry trip down the eastern shore of Lake Victoria to its final destination
