Joint venture for new Egyptian seaport

An agreement has been signed between Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and the Red Sea Ports Authority and DP World and Sonker Bunkering Company for the development of a new Egyptian seaport at Ain Sokhna.

In the next year, this joint venture will construct a new port next to the current oil tanker harbour.

The venture’s capital will be 60% Egyptian-owned, and the remaining 40% shared equally by DP World and Sonker.
