JFM Logistics has been appointed as a national depot to receive and store empty containers, according to the company's operations director, Michael-Anthony Shadiack.
"Our Cape Town depot has spearheaded this initiative, and we eagerly anticipate our other depots joining in," he told Freight News.
“The company has ventured into container trading, recognising its vast potential for expansion.
"With the acquisition of 446 high-cube containers, followed by strategic sales, we've retained a substantial inventory.
"This enables us to offer affordable rates for container rental, facilitating secure storage and efficient cargo transport for our valued customers."
According to Shadiack, the company is committed to consistently expanding its service portfolio to meet clients' evolving needs.
"While our current packaging and crating needs are handled by trusted suppliers with whom we've cultivated strong relationships, we aim to integrate this service into our offerings shortly.
This strategic addition will enable us to provide comprehensive turnkey solutions, conveniently available under one roof."
