INDIAN OCEAN Line has altered the route on its current services to include a monthly call at the ports of Madras and Visag on the east coast of India.
This will be the only sailing on a regular basis from Durban to these ports, IOL m.d. Chris Turnbull told FTW.
The Brandenburg will inaugurate the multi-purpose service sailing on September 25. She will carry breakbulk and containers for discharge at Madras.
The Magdeburg will sail to the same destinations on October 29.
The service was introduced in response to the many enquiries received from our agents, Faircape Marine, Turnbull said.
IOL offers regular sailings between Durban and the Gulf, India, Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean Islands, Mauritius and Maputo.
