India-Sacu trade pact gains momentum

Moves are afoot to speed up the conclusion of a preferential trade agreement between India and the Southern African Customs Union (Sacu) as well as a bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement, according to tralac. This follows a recent meeting between Indian Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma and South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane in New Delhi. President Jacob Zuma is expected to make a state visit to India early next year.
