JOY ORLEK GROUPAGE operator Independent Liner Agencies has added muscle to its Far East network through a partnership link-up with Taiwan-based Dolphin Logistics. It’s a move that makes logical sense, given global market developments, says national sales and marketing director Raymond Cutts. “For the past 13 years ILA South Africa and ILA Taiwan have built up a lucrative trade on the Taiwan – South Africa route. “But markets change very rapidly and it has become increasingly important to enter into partnerships with overseas agents who can offer global networks and cross-trade solutions.” This is the motivation behind the Dolphin Logistics tie-up, says Cutts. “The company already forms an integral part of our international network, and the linkup in Taiwan was therefore a logical move. “Dolphin was established in 1995 and received ISO-9002 accreditation three years later. They are also listed as a “Top 500 Service Provider” company in Taiwan which fits in well with our company orientation. “We have set ourselves ambitious growth targets on the route and believe we have the right partner to achieve our objectives.”
