As more and more companies move towards alternative and cleaner energy solutions, Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL Group) and Total Global yesterday signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to jointly improve their global business ambitions.
The agreement will look at reducing carbon emissions through the development of sustainable low-carbon energies, logistics and transport services, while also exploring new avenues for business.
“Our ambitious target is to reduce all logistics-related emissions to zero by the year 2050,” said Tim Scharwath, member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Post DHL Group.
“At the same time we will intensify our partnership to implement best-in-class logistics solutions throughout Total’s various value chains,” he added.
Alternative energy has been a hot topic over the past couple of years as companies constantly look at new and reliable sources of energy, with Scharwath confirming the commitment of DPDHL and Total to providing energy solutions to the sector.
