‘Head for Africa – and benefit’

There are opportunities in Africa galore – from the major coalfields in Tete in Mozambique to the gas find in southern Tanzania, the oil reserves in Uganda’s Lake Albert region and the new copper belt in Zambia. The managing director of Africa Project Access, Runge told FTW while there were still risks involved in some areas of the continent, Africa was open for business. “The growth in the region – expected to be anything from 5 to 7% – has seen a major increase in consumer spending, a greater demand for sophisticated items and a growing focus on trade. Africa needs everything, and those willing to head into the continent will reap the benefits.”
