Global recognition for Kingfisher

Kingfisher Freight Services, a member of the Global Logistics Associates network, was named ‘Member of the Year’ at the association’s annual general meeting in Paris recently. “It is an honour for a South African company to be nominated for such a prestigious award. We are fortunate that we are not only a global logistics provider but also a strong regional African service provider,” said Kingfisher managing director, Alwyn Nel. “We will continue to develop new infrastructure and service facilities to meet our partners’ and clients’ demands,” he added. Nel told FTW that Kingfisher’s footprint in Africa was continuing to grow. “We are expanding into territories that have largely not been serviced by logistics operators,” he said. “Logistics opportunities are continually developing on the continent as businesses seek new source markets for their exports. “Our representation in these areas, which allows us to create tailor-made solutions, has helped us to grow market share,” said Nel.
