While the industrial action called by the French truckers’ main labour unions, the CGT and CNT, was expected to hit French ports, reports are that all has remained normal.
It had been thought that the truckers would blockade the ports, but UK haulage companies reported that ports were blockade-free.
And there were further reports that police had ordered strikers to remove blockades that had been set up on French inland roads.
