On September 17, 2026, SARS published the imposition of anti-dumping duties in Dumping Item 215.02 of the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, on imports of flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel and flat-rolled products of other alloy steel (goods) classifiable under Chapter 72, originating in or imported from China.
The rates of anti-dumping duties are:
- 5.5% up to and including June 11, 2027
- 20.5% with effect from June 12, 2027 up to and including June 11, 2028
- 35.5% with effect from June 12, 2028 up to and including June 11, 2029
- 57.84% with effect from June 12, 2029, including imports of goods manufactured by Shandong Guanxian Foryune Composite Materials originating in or imported from China
