THREE CREWMEN died in a fire aboard the Safmarine Galana while it was berthed at Maydon Wharf, Durban on Monday. According to a police report, the fire appeared to have started in the cabin of a crewman who was on shore at the time. It spread to the second deck where, after being extinguished, firemen found the bodies of two Greek seamen and a Russian.
