Eskom strike looming?

The National Union of

Metalworkers South

Africa (Numsa) and

the National Union of

Mineworkers (NUM) are

considering strike action

against power utility,

Eskom, should workers'

demands for a pay rise of

up to 18% not be met.

Eskom, who offered

7% on Friday last week,

said there would be a

final round of wage

discussions from July 13

to 15.
