Emirates’ first A380 arrives next month

EMIRATES AIRLINE will take delivery of the first of its 58 A380 aircraft on July 28. The largest customer for the A380 superjumbo, the airline is investing US$ 18.8 billion at current list prices. In its current financial year (ending M arch 2009), Emirates will take delivery of five A380s with 10 tonnes of bellyhold capacity for cargo. The first of these aircraft will be deployed on its routes from Dubai to N ew York, London Heathrow and Sydney-Auckland.
