E-tolling ‘in limbo'

The legal action against e-tolling on the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP) is currently in limbo, with all the parties waiting for the Constitutional Court hearing logged for August 15. But, said Road Freight Association spokesman Gavin Kelly: “Hopefully, from our point of view – and no doubt that of the government as well – we would like to see everyone reaching a resolution before that Constitutional Court date.” A first step has been deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe meeting with all the stakeholders to allow them to present their arguments, and to detail what solutions they propose.
