Global logistics company Tigers has recorded significant growth in China, Malaysia, and Australia – while a growing its presence in Myanmar, where the company recently opened a new office. This is the result of Tigers’ expanding cross-border e-commerce fulfilment business, according to MD Paul Lawrence, who said that the company’s enterprise solution offering, eShop – a boutique marketplace environment for small and medium-sized brands that want to enter the online retail markets of China and South-East Asia – had contributed to that growth. He pointed out that following Tigers’ launch of its eShop in China, the company had opened one in Malaysia. Through its e-shop offering, it manages its customers’ online trading supply chains, handling their fulfilment, final mile delivery and returns, in addition to trading the brands’ products. Lawrence told FTW that as the middle class in China and across Asia expanded, there was a growing online demand for a good variety of goods, from beauty and personal care products to food and healthcare supplements.
