DUDULA FREIGHTBULK, which has its origins deep in the South African shipping industry, recently received its ISO 9002 accreditation. The company is a joint venture between Dudula Shipping, a black empowerment shipping company which started in 1997 and Rennies, a company which started in South Africa some 150 years ago.
What makes this accreditation significant is that the company is providing a total service incorporating a number of shipping disciplines in a single package and not just a single service, such as ships' agency, or clearing and forwarding, said managing director Tony Kee. And according to company chairman Sithembiso Mthethwa, Dudula Freightbulk is an innovative company always looking for new solutions and constantly re-evaluating the process.
We have to keep ahead with new ideas and a fresh approach to service, he told FTW.
