DTI launches ‘roadmap’ for exporters

A WEBSITE that offers exporters an A-Z guide through the export process is the latest initiative from the Department of Trade and Industry.
Developed through the DTI’s Trade and Investment South Africa division (TISA), ‘The Export Roadmap’ will provide information on service providers to contact for training, labelling, packaging, insurance, logistics, documentary requirements and the like.
“The essential elements of the export process will be discussed in a simple, logical order to help illustrate the sometimes complex world of international trade,” a DTI spokesman told FTW.
“It is not necessary for the exporter to be an expert in every field, nor is it necessary for him to accomplish every task single-handedly. There are many reliable professionals who can be called upon and who are able efficiently and cost-effectively to help.”
