On February 11, Finance Minister Trevor Manuel will present his budget speech to parliament – and for the first time FTW’s sister on-line publication “Customs Buzz” will bring you a special budget issue on February 12. The budget speech announces amendments and proposed amendments to the Customs and Excise Act (Act), as well as the Schedules to the Act (the rates of customs duties and excise duties).
