A NEW forwarding operation has opened in Durban - a merger between SA and Danish interests, and currently operating mostly in procurement and movement of aid cargoes.
It's a tie-up of SA-based Cross Globe Freight - now wholly-owned by the Danish company, CICCI.
According to Chris Allers - formerly of Chris Allers Freighting Consultancy, and now manager of Cross Globe and director of CICCI - the European principal is also involved in general, international trading.
In SA, the freight side of the merger will handle the clearing and forwarding, he told FTW, while CICCI will concentrate on the procurement of goods for export.
