Customs continues to accept old drawback forms

THE NEW customs DA forms for Schedule V drawback and refund claims have not yet replaced the old, according to Deloitte & Touche's trade and investment solutions division. "The SA Revenue Service confirmed that - in the case of the registration of a company under Schedule V of the Customs and Excise Act for drawback and refund claims - the old DA 100 and 101 forms could still be used," FTW was told. The reason for this, D&T added, is that neither the new DA 185 - nor any of the other DA forms - provide for Schedule V registrations. "However it is expected that the DA 185 will be amended soon to provide for this."
