THE NEW policy plan from Customs, designed to regularise the interpretation and application of a number of procedures, has been in place since last June with no further complaints from the freight industry, according to director Gavin Collinet.
This relates to the manifesting, movement and delivery of containerised cargo, including overcarried cargo, where the patchiness of the procedure application at the customs offices around the country had reached a worrying level of irregularity by last year.
"It has been working well since then," said Collinet, "and we have had no indications of any problems from the industry bodies."
