CTC plans Durban expansion

CTC Worldwide Logistics has recorded a pleasing performance over the past year, bringing on board a lot of new customers and strengthening the staff complement, says MD Hans Duncker, who believes the time may have arrived for consolidating. Working with a customer base of around 80, the company is very much involved with wine exports to Europe, while imports include fruit juice concentrates from South America, olive oil from Portugal and Spain, prawns and other seafood from the Far East and paper from Scandinavia. Such is the nature of CTC Worldwide Logistics’ business that container volumes have increased to around 4 000, mostly twentyfooters, over the past 12 months. The seafreight/airfreight balance is 85%-15%. The company currently operates out of Cape Town but has announced that it plans to expand to Durban within the next two months.
