CT airport joins new customs era

ALAN PEAT THE SINGLE administrative document (SAD) has been applied to goods carried by air or road to-and-from Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) since September 9. It previously applied to customs clearances between SA, Botswana and Namibia, and to goods carried by road from-or-to the Johannesburg International Airport (JIA) or Germiston. Consultants Deloitte warn that users of the CCA1 forms at CTIA have until November 9 to switch over to the SAD 500 forms.
