CSAV adds options for local shippers

CSAV has added fortnightly calls in Durban and Cape Town to its Marco Polo service linking Brazil and the Middle East, general manager CSAV Group Agencies South Africa, Chris Glen told FTW. “In response to market demand this is to be upgraded at the end of February to weekly calls at both ports,” he said. “CSAV provides the shortest transit time from Cape Town and Durban to Jebel Ali and also offers direct port calls at Dammam, Bandar Abbas and Nava Sheva before proceeding directly to Durban.” In a separate development, the CSAV car carrier division has launched a service linking China, Korea, Singapore and Jebel Ali to Durban and Port Elizabeth. The service will provide regular monthly sailings between the Far East, Middle East and South Africa for rollable cargo and FBUs . “This development is consistent with CSAV’s strategic intent in the African region and confidence in future trading patterns,” he said.
