CFR Freight is
introducing a
new customer
relationship
management (CRM) system
which it has built
exclusively for the
freight industry.
“We are
focused on
innovation and
technology and
offer our clients
full information
technology
(IT) services,”
said Antoni
Dabrowksi,
CFR
Freight group IT manager,
adding that CFR was
looking to turn IT into a
profit-generating division.
The company is also
introducing its own
port finder and
vessel tracker, he
said, pointing out
that CFR’s E.ON
service allowed its
clients to not only
track vessels but
view schedules and
find ports via email
instead of having to
go online and visit the
website.
“We understand
that everyone
does business
differently
and wants to
deal with us
in different
ways so we
are focused
on giving
our clients
various
ways in which to use our
technology to manage their
supply chain,” commented
Dabrowski.
He told FTW that the
industry had a number of
small to medium companies
who did not have the budgets
to develop IT systems, but
for them to make an impact,
they needed to make better
use of technology. “Our
systems can help them bridge
that gap,” Dabrowksi said.
