Copper mining giant cuts output and jobs

Flagging copper prices have forced mining giant, Glencore, to reduce output at its Mopani operation in Zambia. The company has also made 4 300 jobs redundant at its Zambian mine.

According to a Reuters news agency report, Zambian president, Edgar Lungu, said earlier this month he would not allow Glencore to lay off workers.
