Contract for 1000 tons of equipment executed seamlessly

ANNA COX WHEN IT comes to the transport of abnormal heavy loads, it’s all in a day’s work for Lovemore Bros Logistics. The company was recently awarded the contract to transport over 1000 tons of equipment from the Port of Durban to Ugie in the Eastern Cape. A number of the items were abnormal in dimension and mass. It was up to Lovemore Bros staff to ensure that the exhaustive arrangements with all the relevant authorities were in place to ensure a seamless operation. “The police from seven different divisional regions worked alongside us with great dedication and enthusiasm and proved their competence in handling a large consignment such as this,” said joint managing director Bruce Lovemore. “One poor individual who thought he could bully his way through the loads was immediately stopped, arrested and taken to the nearest police station to explain his impatience. The attention to detail, skill of drivers and dedication of our support staff ensured that a safe and efficient operation was successfully completed on time and within the parameters set by our client.”
