IN THE cut-throat and delay-plagued clearing and forwarding industry in Africa the key ingredient for expansion and service delivery is communication.
“We are all subjected to the same port delays and rely on the same airlines, shipping lines and third parties, so strong communication initiatives provide the leading edge, says Intra Speed sales and marketing manager, Claire Hide.
Based in its new premises in Spartan, Johannesburg, Intra Speed is an international freight forwarding company with specific focus on the African continent through an extensive branch and agent network.
“Through hands on attention in Central African countries - including regular visits to clients, branches, depots and agents in the service chain in even the most remote locations - Intra Speed achieves its level of service quality.
“Through this,” says Hide,
“Intra Speed provides delivery
and clearance to previously unreachable destinations.”
She says generally the company
is undertaking freight projects for major South African and international companies with a strong South African presence. Focused on servicing the freight needs for developments in construction, roadworks, telecommunications and the hotel sectors, it is currently handling projects in Nigeria, Uganda and Rwanda within these industries.
The company’s suite of services includes sea and air freight import and export, export and import clearances, warehousing, over border transport, project management and groupage services.
