THE STACK dates at the City Deep terminal in Johannesburg are now being published daily on the Internet.
While stack dates for the coastal ports have been updated daily for some time by Portnet, the City Deep dates are determined by Spoornet CX. Following Portnet's success on the Internet and pressure from inland exporters and forwarders, CX is using Portnet's facility to disseminate the information.
A delighted editor of Cargo Info Africa, Gaile Thompson said that as from this week all users of Cargo Info's web site would be connected to the City Deep dates.
Exporters have been very positive about having the up-to-date opening and closing times for each vessel for the coastal stacks, but the Johannesburg users were getting most frustrated at not having the City Deep information. The stack dates can now all be found at http://cargoinfo.co.za
