CHINESE PRESIDENT Hu Jintao will visit South Africa early next month to strengthen political, economic and trade relations between the two countries. This follows President Thabo Mbeki’s visit to Beijing in November last year where both leaders held bilateral talks on economic and trade relations. South Africa is one of seven African countries on the Chinese president’s agenda. The delegation, which is expected in the country on February 7, will include China’s foreign affairs and trade ministers.
