CFR Freight has launched a roadfreight division to complement its sea- and airfreight service offerings. The company is also planning to further develop its operations in Africa while retaining its neutral position as a sea- and airfreight consolidator. “The addition of road transport is a big plus for us as we are now in a position to handle the full spectrum of services for our customers, the clearing and forwarding agents,” said director Peter Schmidt-Löffler. He said the company’s air freight was growing “by the day” with general manager Stephen Bishop driving customer service and sales. “Our global airfreight network, The AirCargo Group, has made it possible for us to offer products from China, the United States, Germany and Holland,” added Schmidt-Löffler. Having a general manager – Lee Schoeman – for the sea freight division is making a difference to growing and developing the branches, he said.
