CFR expands air import offering

A growing focus on imports is paying dividends for independent consolidator CFR Freight in Port Elizabeth. “Since inception five years ago the main focus has been on exports, but during the latter part of 2010 the branch identified a need for an efficient and cost-effective named day air import service,” airfreight general manager Dave Graham told FTW. “Consolidation services from China, Europe and the USA were introduced – and a new service from India is currently in the making. The UK is also on the planning boards,” he said. “These consolidation services are offered into Johannesburg and Cape Town with the flexibility of having cargo released to customers in Johannesburg or moved to Port Elizabeth, as required,” he said.
