IN A bid to keep up with the increasing freight demand into Africa, Celtic Freight took delivery of another 10 trailers last month, bringing the overborder fleet to 80 trucks. “Our team at Celtic Freight exceeded themselves in October, living up to our motto of ‘Move the cargo’,” says Celtic MD, Adrian Friend. “Huge volumes of cargo destined for Zambia in the month of August and September meant serious backlogs, but we are now back to the normal dispatch of 48 hours.” Friend says the continuous business growth led to the opening of a new Livingstone depot on the October 1, which consists of a parking facility for 30 trucks and trailers as well as workshops and a warehouse for handling Livingstone-bound cargo.
