When MSC chairman Captain
Salvatore Sarno boarded the MSC
Sinfonia to prepare the South
African budget with 103 marketing
staff from all regions recently, he
had no idea of the emotional journey
on which he was embarking.
Without his knowledge, a special
event was planned on board to
celebrate his 40th anniversary
with the company – with master
of ceremonies, his son Rosario,
describing his father’s qualities as a
husband, a parent, a sportsman, an
artist, a mentor, a grandfather – and
most of all a dreamer.
A remarkable milestone by any
measure.
