Imports are the main focus for Windhoekbased
Unlimited Logistics, says Johan
Claassen. “Our 8-ton trucks are currently
very busy on the South Africa-Angola and
South Africa-Namibia routes,” he says.
But a major headache is the poor state
of roads in Angola, making journeys a lot
more hazardous. “In all the years I’ve been
in this trade, I’ve never seen the roads in
such a terrible condition,” Claassen says.
The demand for superlink “one client
loads” has declined slightly, he added.
“My opinion on this matter is that the
trade from Angola is highly dependent
on the currency exchange rate and the
money restrictions going out of Angola.
Therefore, consolidated loads have picked
up significantly.”
According to Claassen, Unlimited
Logistics offers a quick turn-around time
on all consolidated loads.
“We have established ourselves in
the market and will handle the complete
import/export process – all we need is your
invoice,” he adds.
