The CMA CGM Group has launched its first mobile application offering a follow-up solution and real time data collection on a container’s position, upcoming vessel departures and other services offered by the line.
The application is available on the App Store and Google Play in five languages. Users will be able to follow loading operations, search for routes or consult vessel schedules.
34% of the phone calls from clients relate to information about a container’s position. This new mobile application will therefore save time and offer instant information, a spokesman said.
Other functionalities such as an “Eco calculator” will soon be introduced, enabling clients to establish exactly the carbon footprint their container generates.
