Mediterranean Shipping Company has bolstered and modernised its cargo protection services, transitioning from the well-known ‘Peace of Mind’ insurance to the fresh ‘Cargo Cover Solutions’.

This development introduces two pivotal products: MSC Extended Protection (EPR) and MSC Marine Cargo Insurance (MCI).

EPR offers comprehensive coverage for international transportation.

In instances where EPR is inapplicable, MSC offers MCI as an alternative, particularly advantageous for situations involving letters of credit or the shipment of fresh or chilled goods.

Within the new framework, customers selecting EPR enjoy a variety of coverage choices at competitive rates, ensuring prompt resolution of claims in the event of incidents.

Significantly, this protection encompasses damages directly linked to war risk events at sea at no extra charge.

MSC's simplified process guarantees that customers have a single point of contact from reservation to claim resolution, receiving speedy quotations and coverage confirmation during the booking phase.

Claims are efficiently handled by MSC, providing local assistance, streamlined procedures, and resolution within an average of 30 working days.

The introduction of Cargo Cover Solutions and the improved MSC Extended Protection aims to enable businesses to seize opportunities, mitigate risks, and excel in today's ever-changing business landscape.
