KEVIN MAYHEW CARGOCARE FREIGHT Services is upgrading its existing clearing system with shipment tracking and service failure warnings by introducing an order management system. It enables clients to place orders via its system with automated responses, updates and flash messages when deviations to delivery time occur. This, according to managing director of the Germiston company Roland Raath, is in line with its continued expansion for the future through investment in technology. “Coupled with a Request For Quote (RFQ), this ensures we continue to deliver on the same day as flight arrival for our airfreight clients. “The order management system will involve the client, supplier, Cargocare and our overseas agent handling each order in real time,” he said. Cargocare begins trials with selected clients and overseas offices this month, Raath concluded.
