Cargo can be moved from many of South Africa’s major cities to Harare or Bulawayo in under 14 hours, says Marzanne Griesel, sales and marketing manager for Airlink Cargo “Airlink Cargo offers customers the opportunity to send various types of cargo commodities to both Harare and Bulawayo within the ICAO rules and regulations,” she says. Commodities transported by the airline include courier and express material, perishables, live animals, dangerous goods, human remains and general cargo. Loads of up to 1000 kg per day and 120 x 80 x 60 cm can be accommodated. Flight times accommodate early morning and late afternoon consignments, which provide the opportunity to move cargo directly between Johannesburg and Harare or Johannesburg and Bulawayo up to twice daily. “With the wide connectivity possibilities, the airline can send cargo from Cape Town, Durban and various other domestic and international stations into Harare and Bulawayo in less than 24 hours,” she says. In addition it can move cargo to and from Harare and Bulawayo within its southern Africa network in less than 24 hours.
