United Maritime Logistics (UML) last year added several features to its profile including a breakbulk service for out-of-gauge cargo through its Special Projects Division. “We are seeing a lot more enquiries for this service as well as for open top containers and flat racks from the USA. We believe it is important to be able to cater to the needs of these clients whose cargo just won’t fit into the general all purpose container,” says UML director Claude Nuttall. These requests continue to stream in. Keeping customers informed of changes to the system, of expected departures and arrivals and possible delays are key performance criteria, he added.
