Beira Logistics Terminals (BLT)
has opened its third warehouse
and installed a second bagging
machine to handle fertiliser passing
through Beira into the hinterland.
BLT has had a rapid roll-out of
warehousing since March 2012,
when it opened its first 5400sqm
of warehouse surrounded by
approximately 20000 sqm of yard.
A second 9720 sqm warehouse
with 30000sqm of surrounding
logistics space adjacent to the first
warehouse at Munhava came into
operation in November 2012. The
third 9720 sqm facility is now open.
BLT now has the capacity to bag
two thousand tons of fertiliser every
24 hours.
The yard space is used to bag
bulk cargo and to strip and stuff
containers.
