BIRKART GLOBISTICS is literally speaking a company on the move. The Cape Town branch has just moved into brand new offices in Gateway Park, Airport Industria.
Security is one motivation, the other is the open plan office which helps improve performance and service to clients, says MD Heiko Schmidt. The new premises allow for further expansion, he added.
“We believe strongly in training of our staff and making them multi-skilled in all aspects of clearing, forwarding and logistics,” says Schmidt.
Cape Town branch manager Stephan Happe agrees. “The more versatile the staff, the better the service to the clients. We can offer hands-on service to all trades and businesses in the Western Cape.
“Clients ultimately benefit from a smooth export
and import process, and as their businesses grow,
Birkart Globistics will grow alongside.”
The company is Customs-accredited, with the
EDI link speeding up the shipping process.
“The company standards are also reflected in the recent re-certification under DIN ISO 9001:2000,”
said Happe.
