BLACK ECONOMIC empowerment (BEE) consortium Partnership Investments has acquired a 26% share in Cape Town-based forwarding agents Berry & Donaldson. As a result two new members, Dawn Makhobo and Jo-ann Strauss, will join the Berry and Donaldson’s board of directors. Makhobo is currently the deputy executive chairperson of Partnership Investments and was one of the first five black executives on the board of Eskom. A former Miss South Africa, Strauss is a board member of Partnership Investments and is also the chairperson of the Partnership Foundation Trust that equips learners with much-needed skills for building South Africa.
