WITH A revised shareholding, the newly launched GMA Logistics – formerly trading as GM Arcache – now qualifies as a black economically empowered (BEE) enterprise. Founded by George Arcache in 1951, the company’s directors represent more than a hundred years of accumulated shipping and financial experience, according to MD Eugene Arcache. Arcache is supported in the Durban head office by executive director S’bu Luthuli, and operations directors Allan Dawson in Durban and Francois Smith in Johannesburg. Its national network includes offices in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
