Airbus has trumped Boeing in the race for new business, swelling its total order book to $1 trillion for 2015.

Airbus hit a company record of 635 deliveries and predicted over 650 in 2016, with new orders again exceeding deliveries, reports news publication Airwise.

Airbus President and CEO Fabrice Brégier said in a press statement: “This commercial and industrial performance unequivocally proves that global demand for our aircraft has remained resilient.”
